Chalk, the movie
This weekend I had the opportunity to see the film, Chalk. It’s an independent film produced by Morgan Spurlock, the same guy who did Supersize Me.
I managed to find the film, now out on DVD, at the local video rental shop. The movie is filmed kind of in the same documentary-type-style-with-humor as The Office (the television show). You can read more about it here at www.fest21.com.
This movie will probably have some teachers laughing out loud, and many will see characteristics of teachers with whom they work in main characters. The story does a good job of capturing the different personalities of teachers in schools, as well as the challenges they face on a daily basis.
Those who aren’t teachers can get at least a glimpse of some real-life scenes inside of schools today. Of course it’s just a movie, but it hits pretty close to home for those teaching in the real world.
